We are still in the beginning portion of the month, so I thought I would post on something relating to schools.
John Hope Franklin said, "We must get beyond textbooks, go out into the bypaths... and tell the world the glories of our journey."
And I believe we have.....when I think about how the world has changed since I went to school, its just amazing. In the August 31st edition of the Wall Street Journal, there was an article by Riva Richmond about Google now offering book downloads in PDF formats for obscure, out of print books that are in the public domain. This is a result of Google's Books Library Project done in conjunction with Harvard University, Stanford University, Oxford University and others.
I can remember carrying all those books from the library, now, we carry computers.
