According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, Google recently settled its law suit with the publishing industry.
"Google Deal Likely to Give Digital Books Broader Use" by Jeffrey A. Trachtenberg and Jessica E. Vascellaro
If the deal is approved by the federal courts, it paves the way for Google "to make millions of digital books available on the Web, with payments to authors and publishers for their use." The pact "will let individuals and institutions buy online access to copyrighted, out-of-print works through Google, and will provide free online views of them at public libraries... Titles that are still in print will be available only if publishers and authors agree to include them."

"Clearly there are differences between Gamers and Boomers (the terms we
like to use, here at w/) just as there are differences between the
residents of New York and Omaha. But to date, I've not seen a wall
between these groups. And not to minimize the differences, but it's a
mistake to minimize what these groups have in common. Each is exposed
to the same media on a daily basis. They are not isolated. In fact,
there are lots of ways that Boomers have adopted the culture of Gamers.
iPods, for one. Internet use, for another."
I would agree with Jack. I would say, whether you working with gamers or boomers, its about what performance competence they are asking these employees to learn and how to develop the content to achieve that objective.
"I remember someone recoiling at the idea of being a training
department. “You train dogs not people.” To that I always say, “Do
you want your surgeon to be well trained or well educated?”'
